The Saddest Days

A vision of when he walked the earth
Where hungry children cried
Yet no one would be found
Worse yet, no one seemed to care

Prophecy fell on deaf ears
The devils day is near
The saddest days of our lives

Days went on as usual
Everything seemed in its place
Nothing changes when nothing changes
And nothing changed in us at all

And the days appeared ordinary
The calm before the wicked storm
The days were just ordinary
The calm before the storm

Skies grew dark as the winds passed through
A new look of fear in their eyes
The dark one waiting for their desperation
Stands patiently waiting
For the prophecy, a fulfillment of darkness
The saddest days of our lives
Panic, chaos, nowhere to run
We’ve been burning our bridges up to now
His hand on our fate, fires sky high
And we lost any place to go

Knowledge is now just shimmering lights
Feelings misguide our souls
We lost the gates from the shining light

through the smoke and the flames
A shadowed silhouette could be seen
Voices scream out with hands held high
And a fear that no one would hear

They knew the love HE had for them
And if on the path they would stay
For HE was the Holy One
But they were to blind for the LIGHT

They wondered why they ventured
Some time in the past they would stray
Hearing their prayers, GOD would have mercy
Please God, Help us! Please remind us o’the way

Now they searched prophecy, timid and weak
With our own hands we’d parish and fail
Were reminded through childrens tears
There once was a Man and a God

But thrown to the side
For our self centered ways
There is a God, the King of Kings
There once was a man, our living God

Old script covered in dust
Its treasures again revealed
But He’ll take us back again
But some bear the mark or a gold calf

Hear the pleas and cries
For forgiveness and mercy
And now they pray
But they are too deep
A Man and Our God

They wondered why they ventured
A time in the past that they would stray
Hearing their prayers,
GOD did have mercy
Showed mercy

Please GOD
Remind us of the way
