HE goes around saving the world
I can’t seem to get anything right
And HE still gave IT ALL for me!

Then there’s the world fighting for their self-made gods
Arrogant and self-absorbed they are
Me, myself and I became their ‘trinity’
And they marvel and boast that they’ve come so far

So don’t conform to this world, transform
By the renewal of your mind
Turn in horror from the wickedness
Hold fast to that WHICH IS GOD

Meanwhile there was a MAN, washing the feet
Of men discussing who was greatest among them
Just dropped to his knees, cleans the sin and filth
ALL in his final hours on the earth

For years I would search somewhere else
Through mountains and valleys, in the dark
Not ever knowing how blind I’d become
Until the day HE brought me to the light
